Legionella and Other Infectious Diseases: Prevention and Response in Assisted Living Residences and Adult Care Facilities

Speaker: Dr. Mary Foote, MPH is the Senior Medical Coordinator for Communicable Disease Preparedness at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response, Bureau of Healthcare System Readiness.
Topic: This webinar will highlight key infectious disease issues facing residents of assisted living and adult care facilities including Legionella, diarrheal illnesses, respiratory infections and drug resistant bacteria. We will focus on how facilities can be better prepared to “protect, detect and respond” to these infectious threats to enhance the health and safety of their staff and residents. NY ALFA will provide CEUs for participation.
